Avani was born to empower the people of Kumaon, especially women, by showcasing their craftsmanship. especially women, by providing a platform for their craftsmanship. Through fair trade, we help artisans live with dignity and ease. Recognizing the potential in traditional spinning and weaving, we established the Kumaon Earthcraft Self-Reliant Cooperative, owned and managed by farmers, dye collectors, and artisans. This cooperative celebrates the resilience and rich heritage of Kumaon’s craftsmanship.

Founded by Rashmi and Rajnish, a couple who moved to the region, Avani works with local artisans and farmers, ensuring fair trade and dignified living. The Kumaon Earthcraft Self-Reliant Cooperative, founded through their efforts, is owned and managed by its members, focused on sustainable living in harmony with nature.
